Our association was created by President Larry Zhao which is now known as the Asian Business Association of Wyndham. It all started with the passions that Larry had in helping people and offering the best solutions tailored to their needs.

Not only did Larry wish to be an active member in the community, after knowing the challenges the Chinese were facing while living and doing business in the Wyndham neighbourhood, he pinned down a thought of setting up an association that gathers resources and tightens the neighbourhood connections. Therefore, in 2018, Larry organised a non-for-profit team providing services to local residents and businesses, aiming to build a more diverse and cohesive community and a thriving business environment in Wyndham. Engaging events were held constantly, which greatly enriched the neighbourhood.

During the pandemic period in 2020, Larry set up community groups for residents in Point Cook,Truganina/Tarneit,Williams Landing and Sanctuary Lakes, aiming to help the community the best he could by getting meals delivered to the elderly and distributing masks in the neighbourhood.

With the reviving economy, besides reaching out to help and doing constant community services, Larry is hoping to boost the spirits of building a multi-cultural society of Point Cook by being an independent candidate in the 2022 Victorian State Election, as he figured that one of best ways to repay the community he loved is to be engaged in politics and seek more opportunities for better a neighbourhood development.
